Frequently Asked Questions
How soon should I book my men’s outfits?
Some customers prefer to organize the men’s suits immediately after the bride/bridesmaids have been organized. Some people book over a year ahead, 6 – 8 months is the average.
How does the hire process work?
Usually the groom (and often the bride) and one of his groomsmen attend the initial selection appointment. The groom chooses his outfit and depending on what he is wearing we then dress the groomsman. At this stage a refundable bond is paid on each booking. After the groom has decided on what the party is wearing the rest of the party can come in at a later date. Alternatively all can be fitted at the initial selection appointment.
Do we have a final fitting before our wedding/event?
Yes, assuming a weekend wedding, the suits are ready for pickup on the Wednesday before. You can have a final fitting on the Wednesday, Thursday or Friday between 9-5.
Does all my party have to come in at the same time?
No, particularly for large groups it is sometimes preferable to stagger the final fittings.
What happens that if, at my final fitting, something needs altering/changing?
We have a seamstress on hand to attend to any minor adjustment on the spot.
Is there a bond payable?
Yes, when you book your suits there is a bond, which is refunded when the suits are returned.
What if I loose or badly damage the suit?
Most stains and minor accidents can be removed with our professional dry cleaning service, at no cost to you. If the suit is lost or destroyed, a replacement fee is charged.
When do I pick up my suit prior to the wedding/event?
Assuming a weekend event, the suit will be ready the Wednesday before and is available for a final fitting between 9-5 Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. You do not need to book an appointment for this.
When do I have to return the suits?
Assuming a weekend wedding the suits should be returned the following Monday, and your bond returned.
Do I need an appointment to view your styles?
